Pillow Pet

For months Micah has been asking me for a pillow pet. I thought that it would get old and he would stop asking but, he didn't. So finally early last week i ordered Micah his pillow pet. After looking at all the pillow pets he choose the giraffe. He asked everyday if he could have his pillow pet and i would tell him that it was going to come in the mail. Well yesterday during nap the door bell rang and there sat a box. When Micah woke up we went to the door and brought the box inside. Micah was so excited. I told him we had to wait until daddy got home to open the box. (i didnt want Allwyn to miss his excitement)
After greeting daddy as he walked in the door Micah ran to show daddy the box. Here are some pictures of what happened next.

Baby Satvedi

I've been asked a lot lately about what we'll name baby Satvedi. We really have no idea. Boy names are very hard for us to agree on. We had this problem with Micah and once again no name. Girls names are easy we have had a girls name chosen since we got married and talked about a family. Many of you know our number one choice, maybe one day we'll have a daughter. I can't spend time thinking about that because i need a name for this little boy who will be here is just 10 short weeks.

Biblical
Good meaning
Unique
Since i was a teacher before we started a family there are a lot of names i will not name a child. When i hear a name i usually associate a child with it and their behavior/personality. I know that's awful but i just want my child to be themselves. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated and will be considered. So next time you see Allwyn or myself let us know what you think.

Big Boy Room

Yes you read that correctly, Micah has moved to his BIG boy room. I almost can't believe it. I have an empty crib in one room and a bunk bed in the other. Micah did such an amazing job. Friday Feburary 5ht was the big night. We had finally finished his room and decide just to do it. Allwyn and i both took Micah to bed that night and said prayers with him and left the room. Maybe 2 minutes later he came to the door and said, 'mommy i'm all done, all done mommy'. I went into the room took him by the hand and said, 'No, Micah this is your big boy bed you are going nite nite in here. He layed down and held his dino real tight while i rubbed his back for about 5-10 minutes. I told him i loved him and i would see him in the morning. Allwyn and i sat in our nursery in disbeliefe that our baby was now a big boy and had fallen asleep in his big boy bed.

Nap the next day was all Allwyn's job since i had a baby shower to be at. Allwyn said he was a champ and went down without a fight. He slept for 3 hours and was so excited to tell us that he slept in a bunk bed! He has continued to do amazing, please say a prayer this keeps up.

At the advise of a friend we didnt put a lot out for Micah to get into during nap. I've heard that sometimes little boys (and probably little girls) get board during nap and clear out their dresser inside and out! To avoide this you can see from the pictures we have nothing on his dresser and nothing on his table. Well, Ellie the elephant is on his table to help get a good nites rest!

Next step, Getting the nursery ready for baby boy satvedi. (still no name)

It's a BOY!!!

I'm excited to announce that our little miracle on the way is a little BOY! Call it mothers intuition but i knew it from the day i found out i was pregnant. I'm so excited to see my boys grow up together.
We have no leads on a name just yet, of course my husband wants Allwyn but trust me one Allwyn is enough to handle.
Isn't he precious!

I Have a Secret...

I'm Going to be a BIG brother

Yes it's true Baby makes 4! Many of you know that we struggled to conceive our first blessing, Micah. After 2 years we were thrilled to find out we were expecting. Micah joined us 6 weeks earlier than we planned, but we were in love at first sight.
The second time around i went right to my doctor and he put me on Clomid. Six rounds of clomid and nothing. We then decided to see a fertility specialist. We started tests and prepared for our first round of IVF. During that month off we conceived on our own.
Allwyn was working late the night that i took the pregnacy test. That day i went out and got Micah a shirt and printed the words I HAVE A SECRET on the frount and I'M GOING TO BE A BIG BOROTHER on the back. We were in bed before Allwyn got home that night. The next morning Micah and i woke to daddy sleeping in the living room with his laptop in frount of him. I quickly put the t-shirt on Micah and gave him and jewelry box with a positive pregnancy test in it. I then told Micah to wake daddy. Silly Allwyn didnt notice the shirt but was shocked at the positive test. His only responce was IS THIS REAL?
Needless to say we are very excited to welcome our second little blessing into this world. Baby Satvedi will be here Mid May. My due date is May 25th (2 days before my birthday) but they will do a repeat C-section a week early. We're looking at May 18th.

On a silly note... I just couldn't resist taking and intelligender. This is a test that claims 90% accuracy of your babies gender based on a urine sample. Here are my results close your eyes if you don't want to see a urine sample!
I even sent a picture of this to the company to give me their opinion. The test says Girls but i feel Boy! I have friends on both sides a few who say IT'S A GIRL!!! others who know IT'S A BOY!!! Only time will tell i just made my 20 week ultrasound for Jan 5th. Only time will tell.

Happy 2nd Birthday Micah!

Today my beautiful baby boy turned 2. I thank the Lord everyday for my beautiful blessing. We celebrated his birthday with friends and family at the DuPage children's museum on Saturday. Everyone really seemed to enjoy themselves. Micah was a little under the weather but you never would have known. It was so adorable to see Micah and all his little friends sitting at a table eating their lunch.
