Newest Man in my Life

Meet the newest Man in my life...

*Sorry these pictures aren't the best, but let me assure you he is perfect and adorable! We already love him so much.

Afternoon at the Circus

Yesterday afternoon we had the joy of taking the boys to the circus. Every year the Carson and Barnes circus comes to Mooseheart which is a modern orphanage. They are a great organization and the proceeds went to the children. Boy the boys really enjoyed themselves but Micah had an amazing time. (i know, i know i don't like the way the animals are treated but i enjoyed the circus as a child and wanted my boys to have the same memories) During intermission Micah enjoyed a elephant ride, Camel and pony ride. He was so brave, he did it all by himself. When i was waiting in line with him i was telling him how he was going to have to go by himself and he said, 'i know mom, you don't have to tell me.' Then when he climbed down he said 'mom that was so much fun.' i was just so proud that he did it. I can't believe how much my boy has grown. Here are some pictures from our afternoon.

Family Pizza and Movie night

A few weeks ago we started Friday family pizza and movie night. Micah gets to choose a movie for us to watch after enjoying some pizza. He loves this new family time. Here are some pictures of my boys enjoying this weeks movie, 'Word World.'

Happy Birthday Allwyn!

We celebrated Allwyns birthday last week. I let Micah pick out the perfect cake for him. ( i have a feeling he liked it for himself too) Micah also had fun helping decorate the house and even went to the store and picked out a gift for his dad and wrapped it all by himself. I wish i had a picture but i forgot :( Here are some pictures of the boys enjoying their cupcakes :)

Yes he had 2 cupcakes a blue and a red :) Usually i would say no but it was dads birthday.

Boxes

My boys could play in a box all day long :)

Emergency Vehicle Show

Earlier this month Allwyn and i took the boys to the emergency vehicle show. They had a blast climbing in and out of some really big trucks! The highlight of the day was the trip around Mooseheart in an old firetruck . Here are a few pictures from our day.

It's hard to see Micah but he was to excited to look at the camera

My Boys... No pictures needed the words say it all

I love them, my boys. They challenge me, love me and call me mom. I can't imagine my life any different than it is. I still remember the day i found out i was pregnant with Micah. It changed me forever. I loved him so much and didnt even know him. The joy and anticipation that came waiting for his arrival was great. He then decided to join our family a little earlier than we expected. But, that is his personality, he does what he wants when the time is right for him and only him. He is a sweet boy, carefree but cautious.

Then you have my Josiah. He's very different than Micah. He too joined our family a little earlier than expected and only does things when the time is right for him (my boys are a lot like their father) His favorites are his 'bankie' and food, yes food. At anytime you can say, 'do you want to eat?' he'll come running into the kitchen and fuss if you don't feed him fast enough. He loves to snuggle and needs just the right amount of sleep. Did i mention the tantrums. Oh yes i think they are payback for when i was a child. He likes to get his way and if he doesn't look out! Those tantrums are just one of the many things i love about this boy. He's amazing, they are amazing and I'm so lucky to be their mom.

With that all being said things are changing once again. Yes you guessed it we are adding another member to our family. Micah is super excited because he knows what it means to be a BIG brother (he gets to boss around the 'little' people.) Josiah on the other hand has no idea whats about to happen. We are super excited and can't wait to meet our new family member.
We'll keep you updated.
XOXO

Orchard Valley Community Church and Superman?

It turns out that last week our church the Orchard hosted some of the cast and crew from the Superman movie. I've seen them filming around the area but had no idea they were in our place of worship. Check out our pastors blog for the details and some pictures. http://www.iamscotthodge.com

Morton Arboretum

Last week we went over to the arboretum with our friends. The boys had a great time. I was a little worried that there wouldn't be much for Josiah but boy was i wrong. He had just as much fun as Micah. I'm bummed i didn't get any pictures of Micah playing in the tadpole pools. I was just to busy watching him. (water makes me nervous) Micah Loved it!

Charlie playing with Josiah. Hes so good with him, he really seems to enjoy playing with Josiah even thought hes 'little'

Those are my boys feet climbing up the ladder, i was a very proud mom. He's growing so fast!

This ball in water had to be the favorite from the whole day. All the boys had fun trying to roll it around, even the little's :)
