That Moment...

That moment... the one i'm talking about is when you're in your car,
you KNOW you look REALLY good and a great song comes on the radio.  Today's song, was 'Shut up and Dance.'  I couldn't help but sing and dance
along... i mean really who can.  Then it hits me... Girl, you're in a
mini van and you have not one but three car seats in the back seat.  I
only stop for a moment before it hits me, who cares... own it and Shut
up and dance!  So that's just what i did all the way to pre-school pick
up...
Which on that note, Noah climbed out of the car by himself
at drop off.  It only took 7 months but he did it :)  Now were on spring
break so we'll see how he does when we return on the 6th.  Fingers
crossed...

Manic Monday...

Today started like any other Monday morning... well, with the exception that there was snow on the ground.  Yes, we're a few days into spring and i was wearing a dress a week ago and it's snowing...
After dropping the boys off at school i can home and started to clean up and started some laundry.  Then my phone rang, it was the preschool.  Everytime i see one of the boys schools calling i feel a little sick.  I answer the phone and it was Ms. Kelly the director at the preschool.  She said we don't want to alarm you but Noah is gasping for air and struggling to breath, does he have an inhaler you can bring him?  I said, i'm on my way... i grabbed his nebulizer and ran out the door.  Noah has asthma but because of his age they don't officially call it that.  I've spend a handful of nights in the er and even a few days in the ICU with him because of breathing issues.  When i arrived he was in a teachers arms and started to cry when he saw me.  I took him into a quiet room and gave him 2 back to back treatments and he was fine.  I'm hoping that tonight isn't a rough night, its really hard to watch him struggle.  Right now hes running around and playing with his brother so here's hoping this continues.
To top things off when we returned home from school i realized that Micah's fish had died.... I scooped him out and flushed him before anyone noticed.  Now, I'm hoping that no one notices him missing until i can get to the store to replace him (not until Wednesday because that's when I'll get a free morning without the boys)  The boys are getting kind of old and I'm not sure that i can tell them that he's just hiding from them?!?!  I know i know it's awful that i just don't let them deal with the death.... but in my defense i have in the past and i just DON'T want to today...  don't judge, unless you're bringing me a blue beta.

Necklace Trouble

Tonight during bath time we had what I'm calling necklace trouble.  The boys were enjoying their bath when they decided to cause a little trouble.  They were splashing and giggling as they played, then one of them decided to put their hand under the faucet which cased the water to go everywhere.  When i say everywhere i was soaked, the walls, counters and floors were covered.  Naturally, i shouted STOP, this didn't stop them... they just laughed and giggled more.  (i guess soaking your mom is kind of funny, i would have laughed and giggled too if it was my mom)  When they finally stopped i walked over to the tub requested that they all get out, as i leaned down to pull the plug my necklace caught on the faucet and broke.  They all knew this meant trouble they quickly ran to my room and put their pajamas on without even having to be told.  I told them all to go to their rooms because i needed a moment.  They did just as they were told.  I then saw the two boys run down the stairs i knew they were up to something, something good.
Sometime later they came back into my room and presented me with a beautiful necklace that they made for me because they knew i was feeling sad and their choices had led to that sadness.
My boys are truly amazing and sweet and all around wonderful and loving.  I am so blessed!!!
This was my necklace (which i was actually able to fix)
My new necklace and the best part is it came with a bracelet

And she Finally wore a dress, and other happenings...

Let me just start by saying the weather over the weekend and yesterday was beautiful.  I was so excited yesterday when i was able to dig into my closet and pull out a dress.  Now, it was a long dress but none the less it was a dress which means were moving in the right direction.  Today is a bit of a downer but that's okay because the forecast looks great!
Now, lets back track just a tad... On Sunday the boys had a great day at the zoo.  We headed out around 11 and didnt leave until near 4.  It was the perfect day to explore all the beauty that our local zoo offers.

On Friday the boys and i took a walk/bike ride down to the Naper Areo Club.  They were so excited to see the airplanes landing, we even watched a guy fill his tank with gas before parking back in his garage.

Last Tuesday we met friends for dinner in downtown Naperville for a eat out for the Children's Center, we finished out evening with ice cream :)

We've just been having fun playing outside with friends as well...
Then we have this small problem... Something and when i say someting i really mean a squarrel has decided to once again build a nest on my pillar...
Last Night i took this picture while out on my first bike ride of the season
And Last but not least, Happy St.Patrick's Day!!!

Rock Star Status

My regular routine every other Monday is after drop off i volunteer in the library at Micah's school.  My job isn't anything fancy or to rave about...just checking books back in a re shelving them.  Micah's class is just across from the LMC, i can hear everything that is going on which is fun.  Micah's class also has a bathroom break during the time that i'm there and as soon as one of his classmates spots me it's on...  It's kind of funny because Micah knows i'm there (i give him a heads up) when he steps into the hall he is sure NOT to make eye contact with me.  His friends are all saying look Micah there is your mom, they're waving at me calling Hi Micah's Mom.
Micah has the first lunch of the day which is at 10:40. I usually run down there to sit with him if i'm able.  (side not: Micah's school called me a few weeks ago worried because Micah wasn't eating his lunch... well what do you expect from a child who eats 3 eggs for breakfast... 10:40 is to soon for him to eat.)  As soon as i walked in today kids were shouting it's Micah's Mom, Hi Micah's Mom.  I felt like a rock star.  Everyone stopping me to say hi or tell me what they're eating for lunch (Even Micah's classmates from last year remember me...I'm telling you it's because i throw the greatest holiday and birthday parties)  I finally made it to where Micah was sitting... we talked about his morning only to be interrupted every other minute by a classmate who wanted to share something they did or comment on my outfit, hair or boots.  6-7 is such an awesome age.  The children aren't completely filtered so they say whats on their mind but they're still loving, affectionate and thoughtful.  (Another side note: At the begining of the school year i came to have lunch with Micah when a student approached me as said... excuse me.. who's mom are you?  When i told him i was Micah's mom he said no you arent.  I said yes i am, he then told me that i couldnt be because i was the wrong color.  Well, sweetheart i am :)  He then suggested a few other children in the class that i would be a better fit to resemble. )
Children are truly a blessing and so much fun to spend time with, they have so much to share and just want to be heard.
