Well, we're still in Illinois, many of you know we almost made a huge move this summer, after a lot of praying we decided we should stay put. Allwyn did spend 2 months traveling which was hard on us all. The boys missed their daddy a lot and so did i. I did my best to keep the boys as busy as i could and with that i was VERY tired and found no time to blog. We spent a lot of time at the pool, zoo and playing at parks with friends. Micah also did 4 mini camps and VBS. I also had amazing help from Carolyn, we feel so blessed to have her the boys just love her. So, here are just a few of the pictures from summer...
Micah's last day of Pre-school, the 'last' slide. The kids slid down the slide to their teacher who gave them a flower to plant and watch grow. I had to include a picture of this fun treat Micah enjoyed helping me put together for his teachers.
One of our trips to the zoo with the Mick boys. We just love them. (Henry wasn't looking in any of the pictures)
Josiah has been working on potty training. He has decided he wants to use the potty. We haven't gone cold turkey like with Micah, just one step at a time since hes still young. He's doing Great!
My Sweet boys enjoying breakfast on the deck
A trip to the Shedd with Daddy
We decided super last minute to take a quick road trip. We drove to Columbus to visit their zoo and aquarium, It was a lot of fun but VERY hot. The boys were so excited to pack their suitcases and stay in a hotel. (this was the first time they really understood staying in a hotel)
The boys couldn't get enough of this brown bear. Can you see the claw marks on the glass?
My beautiful Boys!
The boys got to enjoy a jungle boat ride. They had to go one at a time because Noah wasnt allowed on the boat. Noah and i waited while each of the boys took a turn with their dad. Josiah is still talking about his boat ride.
Josiah loved watching the elephants. They had an amazing indoor inclosure for them.
We also celebrated the opening ceremony of the Olympics. The boys enjoyed baking and eating their cookies.
We also attended the emergency vehicle show.
The Boys also had a blast playing on their water slide. We had lots of playdates with friends, they all loved our slide.
We also went to the circus at Mooseheart.
Played Superheros at our friend Anika's 3rd Birthday
We also celebrated Daddies Birthday. The boys had a blast continuing our tradition; taking the boys to the store and letting them pick out gifts they think dad would really enjoy. They both came away with solar flowers for Dad and Jo picked out a horse and Micah picked dice. Oh and the cards were hysterical :)
My Boys loving eachother
Both the big boys have started school, so i have a little more time on my hands. I'm hoping to be able to give some more updates on our little family. I'm also busy planning Micah's Big 5th Birthday party. I can't believe my babies going to be 5!
